  • ​Snare drummers have the choice of either tapping their foot or saying the counts of the rhythms out loud or both while testing out of each song.  Snare Drum players can also bypass the combination studies and test out of just the Solos.  Here’s the breakdown in relation to the Stages
    • Alfred’s Drum Method Lessons 1 - 12 / Solos 1 - 6  = Stages 1 - 6
    • Alfred’s Drum Method Lessons 13 -19 / Solos 7 - 12  = Stages 7 - 12
    • Alfred’s Drum Method Lessons 20 - 26 / Solos 13 - 17 / U.S. Field Artillery March Solo / Hands Across The Sea Solo  = Stages 13 - 18
    • Alfred’s Drum Method Lessons 27 - 33 / Solos 18 - 20 / The Thunderer Solo / Liberty Bell Solo  = Stages 19 - 24
    • Alfred’s Drum Method Lessons 34 - 39 / Solos 21 - 23 / The Stars & Stripes Forever Solo  = Stages 25 - 30

​For Stages 31 - 36, Snare Drum players can test out of the Solos on Festival Solos Book 3 for Drums.

  • ​Snare Drummers are not required to tap their foot or say the counts when playing these solos.  Here is the breakdown in relation to the Stages:
    • Pages 32 - 33 Bird's Blues (Snare Drum Solo) = Stage 31
    • Pages 38 - 39 Samba School (Snare Drum Solo) = Stage 32
    • Pages 40 - 41 Move and Groove (Snare Drum Solo) = Stage 33
    • Pages 44 - 45 Dizzy Rhythm (Multiple Percussion Solo) = Stage 34
    • Pages 46 - 47 Peter T's Drum Dreams (Multiple Percussion Solo) = Stage 35
